Roger Roger is truly a family affair. Twin siblings Lucas and Madeleine Roger are both singer-songwriters who have joined forces, each playing guitar and shamelessly harmonizing all over each other's songs. The offspring of producer/engineer/musician Lloyd Peterson (who co-produced Roger Roger’s recent debut album Fairweather), the twins have a knack for songwriting that must have something to do with growing up in a recording studio. They each bring their expansive creativity to the project and wholeheartedly embrace their differences, fusing Madeleine's magnetic sweetness alongside Lucas' unruly charm.
Their debut album Fairweather, released January 15th 2016, was made possible through a successful Kickstarter pre-sale campaign, and includes nine songs written by the twins. It reached the No. 1 spot on the National Folk/Roots/Blues charts, and has been garnering praise for the maturity of their songwriting and for its balance of folk, roots, and rock inspired tracks in a beautifully produced album.
Growing up on the edge of Riding Mountain National Park in Manitoba, Canada, Logan McKillop has a multitude of songs for every change in the prairie sky. Being a modern day traveling troubadour, he has seen it all; from the jungles of Cambodia, the rainforests of Peru, the highlands of Scotland, to the rugged tundra of Baffin Island, Logan's travels and experiences have shaped his ever-expanding catalogue of sound. With an eclectic blend of influences from raw folk, smooth jazz, energy fueled bluegrass to lonesome country, Logan McKillop will appeal to audiences’ young and old. With a tune for every occasion, whether it’s a whiskey soaked Saturday night or a quiet Sunday afternoon, his honesty in storytelling will leave you captivated. His debut album titled “Prairie Sky" was released in March, 2013.
