Originally from Newfoundland, galaa has been said to conjure ambient patters with a post-rock feel that “shakes their dance-pop foundation” (Exclaim!) Having recently completed an album that lingers more in the electro-pop world, galaa’s lead singer and songwriter aley waterman has started up a new incarnation of this project in toronto with some of her cutest musical pals, including steven foster, sam gleason, and johnny spence! fun! if galaa’s sound had a favourite beverage it would probably be a purple grape beverage with little bubbles in it and a light blue straw! feel?
Blunt Chunks is a born and raised east-end Torontonian. She spent about three years in Montreal and then dropped out of university and moved back home in 2011 to pursue music. She has performed with numerous Toronto-based music projects since moving home; (ie Bizzarh and Lido Pimienta) Djing, singing back-up vocals, playing synth, or being hype-girl, all the while, writing music and experimenting with new gear at home. She is constantly learning new things and cannot wait to someday record an EPIC album.
Rapport is a pop group formed in Toronto that make fun sad prom music over which to roll your movie credits, or drive pensively off into the distance, in 1981.
