In a short period of time, British-born, Canadian-raised Michelle Willis has made a name for herself as a songwriter, singer and musician performing with some of the worlds most well-loved artists (Iggy & the Stooges, Snarky Puppy, Zac Brown Band, and David Crosby to name a few). Her debut album See Us Through was released on Snarky Puppy's GroundUP Music label, and features richly stacked vocals atop americana, folk and jazz harmony, searching through ideas of soul-diving, love lost and love needed. A Toronto native, Michelle can now most often be heard performing out of Brooklyn, NY.
Mara Nesrallah is a Toronto-based vocalist, pianist and composer. Although best known as bandleader of alternative folk group Mara & The Marigold, Mara is an active member of Canada's creative music community. She can be heard singing alongside numerous new music ensembles, including The Element Choir, We Are All large ensemble, Sonuskapos Jazz Orchestra, Andrew McAnsh Octet, near distant ensemble, and Nancy Walker's Harmony Collaboration. Recently, she has made her foray in to conducting as co-conductor of the Concord Vocal Ensemble and children's choir conductor of David Occhipinti's Cookie Choir. When she's not performing, Mara can be found making music with her 30+ weekly private students, cooking a tasty vegan meal, cycling alongside Lake Ontario, and talking with friends over tea.
