“A remarkable band made up of remarkably young musicians” (Globe and Mail), Kingdom of Birds have been grabbing the attention of unsuspecting audiences, international music blogs, and well-known musicians alike. At an age when most kids are only becoming aware of popular music, Kingdom of Birds (ages 10-15) have released their third collection of original songs (this one recorded by Aaron Holmberg, formerly of the Tragically Hip’s Bathouse Studio). The band gets regular CBC radio airplay and has performed on CP24’s Breakfast and made their major music festival debut this summer at Toronto's Field Trip Music and Arts Festival. KOB opened the 2016 edition of Sarah Harmer’s and Luther Wright’s annual holiday rock show, and guitarist/vocalist/principal songwriter Ása Berezny toured with the Hidden Cameras, a trip that included a stop at legendary Massey Hall (where she shared the stage with the likes of Feist and Ron Sexsmith). The band returned to the studio to this summer and the resulting album is out and amazing!
Moscow Apartment is an acoustic duo whose close, sweet harmonies and exquisite song craft defy their young age (14 & 15). Influenced by Big Thief, Feist, Joni Mitchell, among others, Brighid & Pascale, skilled multi instrumentalists (guitar, piano, violin, ukulele, mandolin, banjo and bass) and grads of Girls Rock Camp Toronto, are powerful & mature songstresses. When these two sing together it is like honey to the ears. Their debut single has been played on CBC and they are booked for the Winnipeg Folk, Hillside & Summerfolk festivals. Moscow Apartment love to sideways slide from more traditional folk to pop and electronic inspired indie rock.
Georgia is an 18 year old singer-songwriter from Toronto.
A Toronto band with an assortment of styles and a love for pattys.
Optical flow is the newest, freshest band on the block made up of three groovy niners named Zeul, Eric and Clara. They are currently working on their first album and they have one song on Soundcloud. Optical flow plays mostly a mix of garage rock with jazz on the side. Their main influences are Royal Blood and Jack White's old stuff.
4 hungry boys looking for satisfactions. The Purps are a Toronto multi-faceted, ball-busting, glory-blazing, multi-genre rock band
